Financial Trading Application
Legacy trading application redesign
I worked as a full-time UX Consultant/Interaction Designer at Bank of America to assist with their trading and p&l application design. The desktop application is geared towards helping traders and line of business personnel resolve securities discrepancies prior to final sale. I created a user-centric style guide and visuals to streamline production and enable users to efficiently do their jobs.
Business Challenge
The bank relied heavily on their trading application for day-to-day operations, so if the application did not get fixed or created, users will continue to operate with bad data. The system is pulling data points from four databases with no tracking to determine the original source of information. We wanted to create a proprietary technology for the UI piece to help standardize data.

Style Guide
I iterated on two different style guide to complement the company's previous legacy system with a light and dark mode palette based on user preference. Some traders preferred the lighter version because it was easier to see in the daytime, while others opted for dark mode. I adopted a new font style to ensure text and numeric values were easily readable across the screen and not too distracting.
